Krugman on Economists
This is the sort of article you spend years waiting for--a relatively short, highly accessible critique of the practice of the profession of economics, by one of its leading luminaries. Check it out. (It's currently No. 1 on the Times' email list.)
Sands Reviews Myers' New Book
Phillipe Sands, international law scholar, reviews Richard Myers' new book in the new edition of the New York Review of Books. It's well worth a gander, especially as it also manages to outline the path to the torture policies of the Bush years, from inception to eventual downfall in the 2006. The endnotes of the article are larded wtih links that are also worth following.
